1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Textile Engineers Club (TEC) membership portal ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Description of Service

The TEC membership portal provides a platform for textile engineers and related professionals to register for membership, manage their profiles, register for events, make payments, and interact with other members of the club.

3. Membership Eligibility

To be eligible for membership, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Provide accurate and complete information during registration
  • Meet the membership category requirements (General, Junior, Collaborate, or Honorary)
  • Agree to comply with all club rules and regulations
  • Pay the required membership fees as applicable

4. User Accounts and Registration

4.1 Account Creation

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4.2 Account Information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

4.3 Account Responsibility

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Membership Fees and Payments

5.1 Membership Fees

Membership fees vary by category and are subject to change. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or at our sole discretion.

5.2 Payment Processing

Payments are processed through third-party payment gateways. You agree to provide accurate payment information and authorize us to charge your payment method for applicable fees.

5.3 Payment Verification

All payments are subject to verification. We reserve the right to reject or cancel any payment that we believe to be fraudulent or unauthorized.

6. Event Registration

6.1 Registration

Event registration is subject to availability and may be limited. We reserve the right to cancel or modify events at any time.

6.2 Cancellation and Refunds

Event cancellation and refund policies are determined on a per-event basis and will be communicated at the time of registration.

6.3 Multiple Seat Bookings

Members may book multiple seats for events, subject to availability and event-specific limits. You are responsible for all attendees registered under your account.

7. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Violate any laws in your jurisdiction
  • Infringe upon the rights of others
  • Transmit any viruses, malware, or harmful code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Collect or store personal data about other users without permission
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without authorization

8. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Textile Engineers Club and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of any content you submit, but grant us a license to use, modify, and display such content as necessary to provide the Service.

9. Privacy

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach the Terms of Service.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that defects will be corrected.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TEXTILE ENGINEERS CLUB SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Textile Engineers Club and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Bangladesh, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
